Lithologische beschrijving

Evaporites with anhydritic claystones, anhydrite and rock-salt; red-brown to greenish clay- and siltstones; claystones, sandstones and some thin anhydrite beds. lf it is not possible to distinguish the Solling Claystone Member from the overlying Röt Formation, these may be lumped into this informal unit.

Afzettingsmilieu

Lacustrine, and restricted-marine to evaporitic settings. Fluvial conditions occurred in the basin-fringe area.
