Cretaceous to Devonian

The Dutch subsurface contains igneous rocks of Cretaceous age and older (older than 66 million years). Intrusive rock is (much) younger than the rock in which it is embedded. When the rock is extrusive, it is of a similar age to the rock directly above or below it.
