Lithologische beschrijving

Medium to very coarse sand and coarse gravel, with cobbles, boulders and blocks. Local loam or clay, especially at the top, coarse sand lenses.

Afzettingsmilieu

Fluvial (western Meuse).

Definitie ondergrens

Sharp contact with various Neogene, Paleogene, Cretaceous and Paleozoic units. Locally incised into Caberg or St. Pietersberg Members (Beegden Formation) or into Rhine sand and gravel (Sterksel Formation).

Definitie bovengrens

Locally exposed at the surface. Commonly, sharp contact with periglacial aeolian and local river loam and sand (Boxtel Formation). Locally incised by Oost-Maarland Member (Beegden Formation).
