Lithological description

Red, green and locally grey claystones, which often show high gamma-ray readings in the basal part, several sand stringers are present.

Depositional setting

Lacustrine with eolian intercalations.

Not yet determined.

Definition of upper boundary

Not yet determined. lf it is not possible to distinguish the Solling Claystone Member from the overlying Röt Formation, they may be lumped into an informal unit: the upper Bunter unit (RNUB).
