Lithological description

A claystone and siltstone succession with a fine-grained sandstone bed (5-10 m) at the base.
The interval between the base of the Volpriehausen Avicula sandstone bed and the base of the Detfurth Formation can be informally referred to as the Volpriehausen Avicula member. The Volpriehausen Avicula sandstone bed has been identified based on the gamma ray log in well L02-01 at 4078 - 4085 m AH.
