Dark green very fine to fine sand, slightly to very silty, glauconitic, mostly non-calcareous.

Shallow marine near-coastal (Van den Bosch et al. 1975; Van den Berg & Den Otter 1993).

Definition of lower boundary

Erosional contact with shallow-marine clay (Eibergen Member, Breda Formation).

Definition of upper boundary

Generally unconformable contact with shallow-marine consolidated mud and clay (Delden Member, Breda Formation) or with various Quaternary units.

Thickness indication
Up to about 25 m (Van den Berg & Den Otter 1993).
Geographical distribution
Restricted to the eastern Netherlands, close to the German border.
