Lithologische beschrijving
Stiff brownish grey to brownish green loam, sandy, with intercalated light brown very fine to medium sand, silty, non-calcareous, rooted. Local peat layers.
Afzettingsmilieu
Fluvial floodplain (Meuse), aeolian and small-scale fluvial.
Definitie ondergrens
Usually a sharp contact with underlying fine to moderately coarse-grained sand of the Boxtel Formation.
Definitie bovengrens
Usually, sharp contact with fine to medium sand of the Boxtel Formation (undifferentiated) or with coarser fluvial and fluvioglacial deposits (e.g. Koewacht Formation, Kreftenheye Formation, Sterksel Formation, Waalre Formation and Drente Formation).
Dikte indicatie
Generally 4-6 m, up to 10 m.
Geografische verbreiding
Northern part of the Roer Valley Graben in the southeastern Netherlands.
